- eGuard: An added layer of security for your debit card
GECU debit cardholders are automatically enrolled in eGuard, an authentication payment system using 3-D Secure Solution that’s designed to improve online transaction security.
When suspicious activity is detected, cardholders will be asked to authenticate the purchase via a one-time passcode sent to their mobile phone. If not on file, eGuard will present knowledge based questions (e.g. date of birth, zip code) for the cardholder to answer during the checkout process.
Activate your card as soon as you get it!
When you receive your new card, there will be a sticker on the card containing instructions, including the number to call (866.642.0450) to activate your card and determine your PIN.
- To activate your PIN, call: 866.642.0450.
- If you need to change your PIN, and know your existing PIN, please call the number on the back of your card.
Important note: We cannot change, update, or reset your PIN for you. You will need to follow one of the above methods for updating your PIN.
