We offer various payment methods to help you pay bills on time, whether it's your GECU loan, credit card, or an electric bill. Use this guide to simplify managing your payments.

Use Online Banking and our mobile app1

This is the easiest way to make your loan payments, plus there are no fees. Choose the option that works best for you.

  • Internal transfer: Transfer your payment from a GECU checking or savings account. For most loans, payments are applied instantly (transfers to a credit card typically get applied the next business day).
  • External transfer: Make a payment from an account you have at another financial institution. This can take 3-5 business days to process. Ensure you account for weekends and holidays when scheduling your payment(s). Note: If you set up an automatic, recurring payment you will need to cancel your payments after your loan is paid in full.
To make a payment from a GECU account, set up an internal transfer. These can be one-time or scheduled at a frequency that works best for you. 
  • Online Banking: 
    • Hover over Move Money and select Make/Schedule a Payment.
    • Choose the To/From accounts, Date, and the Amount
    • To set up an automatic, recurring payment check the Repeat transfer box and choose the frequency.
    • Click Make transfer
  • Mobile app: 
    • For a one-time payment, tap Make a Transfer and choose the To/From accounts, the Date, and the Amount. Tap Transfer.
    • For automatic, recurring payments, tap the Schedule tab, and then choose Schedule a Transfer at the bottom of the page. Choose the To/From accounts, Date, Amount, and the Frequency. Tap Schedule.
Once your loan is paid in full, you will need to cancel your automatic, recurring transfers. 
You can transfer your payment from an external bank account in Online Banking or our mobile app. Please allow 3-5 days for processing. 
  • Online Banking: 
    • Hover over Move Money and select External Transfer for Payments.
    • Select Add an External Account (if you are setting up your first payment) and enter the routing and account number. 
    • Enter the payment amount and date, and click Make Transfer.
  • Mobile app: 
    • Tap More, select Loan Payment, then tap Pay from Bank Account.
    • Select Add an External Account (if you are setting up your first payment) and enter the routing and account number.
    • Enter the payment amount and date, and tap Transfer.
Once your loan is paid in full, you will need to cancel your automatic, recurring transfers. 

Quick Pay

This option is available should you choose not to enroll in Online Banking or our mobile app. Please note, there is a $3 convenience fee per transaction for this service. 

  • Make a one-time payment using a debit card or via ACH, using your account and routing number.
  • Payments submitted by 4:30 PM ET will be applied the same day; payments made after this time will be processed on the next business day.
  • The $3 convenience fee will be added to your total payment amount, per transaction. 
  • Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  • Enter your loan account number and zip code. Click Login to continue.
  • On the Make Payment screen, you will see the loan account details associated with the account number and zip code you used to login. If you have multiple loans, you will need to log in separately for each account.
  • Enter the payment amount. Note: If you do not have a payment due, you may see $0.01 listed. 
  • Choose your payment method. You can use a debit card or your bank account's routing and account number. 
  • Review your payment details, accept the terms, and enter your zip code to confirm. Select the Pay button to submit payment. 

Make a GECU credit card payment

You can make a GECU credit card payment from an internal account or from an external bank account. Choose the option that works best for you, depending on where you payment is coming from and see full instructions below.

  • Internal transfer: Transfer your payment from a GECU checking or savings account. Transfers to a credit card typically get applied the next business day.
  • External transfer: Make a payment from an account you have at another financial institution. This can take 3-5 business days to process. Ensure you account for weekends and holidays when scheduling your payment(s). Note: If you set up an automatic, recurring payment you will need to cancel your payments after your loan is paid in full.

To make a payment to your credit card from a GECU check or savings account: 

  • Online Banking: 
    • Hover over Move Money and select Make/Schedule a Payment.
    • Choose From and To accounts (choose your GECU credit card), Date, and the Amount
    • To set up an automatic, recurring payment check the Repeat transfer box and choose the frequency.
    • Click Make transfer
  • Mobile app: 
    • For a one-time payment, tap Make a Transfer. Choose From and To accounts (choose your GECU credit card), Date, and the Amount. Tap Transfer.
    • For automatic, recurring payments, tap the Schedule tab, and then choose Schedule a Transfer at the bottom of the page. Choose From and To accounts (choose your GECU credit card), DateAmount, and the Frequency. Tap Schedule. 
To make a credit card payment from an external bank account: 
  • Online Banking: 
    • Click the Credit Card Access tab, then Pay Bill, or hover over Payments and select Make a Payment.
    • Select Add a New Account (for first-time payments) or choose an existing account to pay from.
    • Choose or enter a payment amount.
    • Select the payment date.
    • Verify payment details, and select Make a Payment.
  • Mobile app: 
    • Tap More and select Credit Card Access. Tap the Menu icon, then Payments, and tap Make a Payment.
    • Select Add a New Account (for first-time payments) or choose an existing account to pay from.
    • Choose or enter a payment amount.
    • Select the payment date.
    • Verify payment details, and select Make a Payment.
